At the request of Japan Center in Moscow National University, a seminar on “Toyota Production System (TPS)” was held. Toyota is constructing a car assembly plant at Sankt Petersburg, so in the local manufacturing circle attention is being paid to “Toyota Production System” and “Kaizen”. This time Mr. H. Hayashida (Ex-Manager of Dept. of Manufacturing of Tahara Plant Toyota Motor Corporation) gave an on-site lecture.

The lectures this time were given at two places
The one place was at Japan Center in Moscow National University (MGU), to 20
persons of senior staff of RUSAL which is the world biggest Aluminum maker.
The other place was at Camber of Commerce and Industry of Yarosrabri State, to about 130 persons.
At both RUSAL and Camber of Commerce and Industry of Yarosrabri State, questions and opinions were very actively exchanged, so it was very meaningful lecture in a good atmosphere.
