The other day, Exchange Meeting of Managers in Chinese and Japanese companies is held in Shanghai, Members from Hirayama presented the case of factory TPS Application in Thailand, India and China. Attending members of the meeting are showing deep interest and paying attention to the original practical cases of Hirayama.
After the presentation, we introduced our training programs including Toyota Training Center. Because we actually are planning training tour of Chinese companies in May, we will build total support system from training orientation in China and Coordination of program to after training follow-up.

Because of the specialty of attendants, everybody had enough knowledge and studied well.

Main interest of attendants was the Practical Training of our program. Moreover, they showed enthusiastic behavior such as taking memo and positive questioning for the differences on factory management in Europe and Japan.
They impressed by visiting several different factories such as Automobile, Electronics, Beverage and Food Company.

In the tightly-packed schedule of one week, visited TPS lectures, Toyota Motor Corporation the home of Toyota Production System also Toyota Group Companies and the primary suppliers of Toyota. Also visiting competitor and exchanged opinions with a person concerned with companies about TPS promotion.
Furthermore, in the TPS practical training center of Hirayama,「How to make work relaxing for workers」「quality is included in the process」learned the essence of Toyota’s formula operating improvement.

Following in this March, Chinese major container manufacturer Company C participated in the TPS training again in October.
Including the main office, TPS promotion charged collected from each subsidiary and the enthusiasm was more than any other team.
Not only the TPS knowledge but also the eagerness for the study was strong above all.

Before joining the tour they summarized the problems of their factory in PPT documents.
During three days of training, they continued the discussion with the instructor about improvement until 12 at midnight in every night. This is the first step of own company style TPS.

There is only a truly global enterprise administrator, and it was studied a thing about the improvement beforehand at the TPS beginning, many questions has been put in the middle of the lecture.

The participants, in attendence from the U.S.A., involved in manufacturing lighting equipment in U.S.A. and Australia, people related to manufacturing space satellite equipment, clothing, apparel, or those related to University or industrial training centers.

On the day, the seminar was held in discussion form, having many questions about “Toyota Management”.

Among them, the strongest was on “the leadership”.

By implementing genba-kaizen(field improvement) and TPS, there are cases that contents of work and the workplace changes.
The participants of the seminar seemed to have concerns about how leaders should react and behave when staffs made some problem, to have cooperation to the changes without resisting, especially at the introduction of TPS.

The seminar has been extended for one hour over schedule, with Mr. Kosaka replying thoroughly to each question whille taking lunch with the participants.

At the end of the seminar, a present was given to Mr. Kosaka from the participants with feeling of thankfulness.
Mr.Kosaka seemed to be very pleased as well, to knowing the contents of the seminar were accepted with satisfaction by the participants.
